Two former Mitchell Aquatic Club members competed at
the Falcon Invitational this weekend which was hosted by
the
University of Wisconsin, and was held in Minneapolis MN.
Amelia Ladd, competing as a freshman, swam a number of events
for
Luther College, helping the Luther women to place fourth in
a field of ten teams. Amelia swam on the champion 400 medley
relay, and also swam on the 4th place 200 medley relay and the 6th
place 200 freestyle relay. Amelia placed 8th in the 100
butterfly, and 16th in the 50 freestyle. Cody Horton, also a
freshman, swam for the
University of South Dakota whose men's team placed
fourth overall. Cody swam best times in all of his individual
events, and placed 12th in the 500 freestyle. He also swam on
the 400 medley relay which placed 12th and the 400 free relay which
placed ninth. MAC will also be well represented when Cody,
Shea Patrick, and Katie Budahl take part in the dual meet between
SDSU and USD Thursday, December 10th in Vermillion.
